Vienna runs several markets, with the Christkindlmarkt on the Rathausplatz as the largest. Its 2026 edition ran 13 November–26 December, and the separate ice rink continued into January — a different closing date from the market itself.

A market's traditional opening weekend is not an announcement. Most of these cities publish their dates a few months ahead, and several run components with different closing dates — a craft market, a food market and an ice rink rarely share one calendar. Until a city publishes, use the reference window to choose a fortnight, then book flexible accommodation and confirm the specific square, entrance and opening hours when the official page updates.
Use the organiser’s current access, ticket, transport and accessibility instructions. A recurring host or typical month is not confirmation of next year’s programme or exact site layout.
