AfrikaBurn is a participant-built town in the Tankwa Karoo, and the 2027 window is published as 26 April–2 May. The approach road is gravel and the site is genuinely remote, so transport and self-sufficiency matter as much as the ticket.

Black Rock City, Nevada
Black Rock City is a temporary city built by its participants on a dry lakebed in Nevada, and the 2027 event window is published as 29 August–6 September. Ticket-sale dates for 2027 had not been announced at review, so the plan starts with the survival guide rather than a flight search.

Monegros, Spain · historical site
Nowhere was a participant-built gathering in Spain's Monegros, and its operating company has said it will not produce the event again. No successor organiser, date or venue has been announced, so this is a status guide — there is nothing to book.

A ticket is the smallest part of these events. Water, shelter, waste, vehicle condition and the approach road decide whether the week works, and each organiser publishes its own rules — a familiar burn format does not transfer between sites.
