Timing: 14–20 June 2027 event week · championship rounds 17–20 June
Venue or host area: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, California. The USGA’s fast-facts page gives the 2027 championship dates and venue; Pebble Beach lists the wider event week. A category-map marker is an approximate location, not a course or spectator-layout map.
Access: SeatGeek, identified on the USGA ticket page as the official ticketing provider, reports multi-day packages already on sale and daily-ticket public sales scheduled for 12 November 2026. Its 20 October guide lists the AmEx presale through 21 October, followed by USGA Member access on 2 November, Victory Club and NCGA access on 4 November, and the public sale on 12 November. Earlier indexed text from the USGA ticket page showed an AmEx cutoff of 31 October; that page could not be freshly read in this review. The AmEx cutoff and current eligibility are therefore unresolved; do not assume the presale remains open. No remaining inventory or completed checkout was verified.
02 · Plan the visit
Plan around the official access route
The 2027 route is direct sale, not a ballot. SeatGeek, identified on the USGA ticket page as the official ticketing provider, says multi-day packages were already on sale and daily tickets are scheduled for public sale on 12 November 2026 after presales. SeatGeek’s 20 October guide lists the AmEx presale through 21 October, but earlier indexed text from the USGA ticket page showed a 31 October cutoff. The USGA page could not be freshly read in this review, so the AmEx cutoff and current eligibility remain unresolved; do not assume that window is still open. No live inventory or checkout was checked. The parking/shuttle detail found was for a Lodge Premier package, not a general spectator plan. Use digital-ticket guidance and verify event-specific re-entry and accessibility terms before booking.
Confirm the edition: use the organiser’s latest date and venue announcement, not only a customary month.
Confirm admission: check whether access is by purchase, ballot, qualification, application or free/public entry; do not assume a ticket includes every venue or session.
Confirm local logistics: check current transport, accessibility, road closures and arrival instructions with the organiser and relevant local authority.
Protect flexibility: compare cancellation terms before booking travel around a date or route that is not fully confirmed.

04 · Overview
What this event is
The United States' national golf championship, run by the USGA over four rounds in June at a course chosen each year. The 2027 edition is at Pebble Beach Golf Links on the California coast, a clifftop course where the Pacific is in play on several holes and the greens are among the smallest in championship golf.
The U.S. Open is the hardest test in golf by scoring average: the USGA narrows fairways, grows thick rough and lets the greens firm up, and winning totals are usually around par or worse. It is also the most open major in structure — anyone with a low enough handicap can enter local qualifying and play through sectional qualifying to reach the field, which is why the championship produces unknown leaders more often than the others.
History
The first U.S. Open was played in 1895 at Newport Country Club, the same year as the first U.S. Amateur, and it has been held every year since except 1917–18 and 1942–45. Pebble Beach has hosted it six times, from 1972 to 2019, and 2027 is the seventh — the 2000 edition there, won by Tiger Woods by fifteen shots, remains the largest winning margin in major history.

What we could not verify
A general spectator parking/shuttle plan, 2027 accessibility arrangements and final bag or prohibited-item guide were not found in the reviewed 2027 pages.
The parking/shuttle details located apply to the Lodge Premier package and should not be generalized to all spectators.
Official ticket information conflicts on the AmEx presale cutoff (21 October in SeatGeek’s 20 October provider guide versus 31 October in earlier indexed USGA ticket-page text); the USGA page could not be freshly read, so the cutoff and current eligibility are unverified.
The USGA’s general ticket terms caution that re-entry is not generally assured; confirm the 2027 ticket terms and valid digital-ticket requirements before arrival.
