The UCI 2027 Road calendar lists Paris–Roubaix on 11 April and gives the event location as “Vélodrome.” The organizer’s homepage displays the numeric date 04/11/2027 and still shows the 2026 Compiègne–Roubaix course, so the 2027 start and cobbled-sector sequence remain unconfirmed in the pages reviewed.

Venue or host area: A one-day race across northern France. The UCI 2027 calendar lists “Vélodrome”; the Roubaix city pin is an orientation inference from that listing and the organizer’s 2026 page, which refers to the finish at the Roubaix velodrome. It is not a confirmed 2027 course or entrance map.
Access: The organizer’s homepage advertises 2027 Paris-Roubaix Challenge registration, which is a separate participant event, and currently shows 2026 pro-race course information. The reviewed pages do not establish 2027 spectator-zone, Vélodrome admission, parking or road-closure rules; verify the pro-race guidance when published.

Plan around the official access route
The 2027 date is listed, but the current organizer page shows the 2026 Compiègne–Roubaix route. Wait for the 2027 route and event-day notices before choosing a start-area base or cobbled sector. The Paris-Roubaix Challenge is a separate amateur ride with its own registration; it is not a spectator ticket for the pro race.
Confirm the edition: use the organiser’s latest date and venue announcement, not only a customary month.
Confirm admission: check whether access is by purchase, ballot, qualification, application or free/public entry; do not assume a ticket includes every venue or session.
Confirm local logistics: check current transport, accessibility, road closures and arrival instructions with the organiser and relevant local authority.
Protect flexibility: compare cancellation terms before booking travel around a date or route that is not fully confirmed.

04 · Overview
What this event is
A one-day race across northern France, from Compiègne to the velodrome in Roubaix, run in mid-April over roughly 260 km. Its defining feature is about 30 sectors of cobbled farm track, some barely wide enough for three riders, and the race finishes with a lap and a half of the Roubaix velodrome track.
Paris–Roubaix is the most brutal of cycling's monuments and carries the nickname the Hell of the North — not for the war damage that greeted the first post-1918 race, but for the roads themselves. The Arenberg trench and the Carrefour de l'Arbre decide the race, crashes and punctures are part of the result, and the velodrome finish is a relic of the event's origins as an indoor spectacle. Riders who finish are covered in dust or mud in a way no other race produces.
History
The first Paris–Roubaix was run in 1896, created to promote the opening of the Roubaix velodrome, and it has been held every year since except the two world wars. The start moved from Paris to Compiègne in 1966 to shorten the approach to the cobbles, and the number of cobbled sectors has fallen from over 50 to about 30 as roads were paved. A women's race was added in 2021, run the same day over a shorter course.
